On May 16, 2016, Guillermo Vidal-Diez de Ulzurrun was awarded the Ron Cockcroft Award to present his paper entitled "Studying fungal growth using automated image analysis and computer simulations" (G. Vidal-Diez de Ulzurrun, J.M. Baetens, J. Van den Bulcke, B. De Baets) at the 47th Annual Meeting of the International Research Group on Wood Protection held in Lisbon, Portugal.
