Two out of three best student paper award nominations at the Tenth Conference of the European Society for Fuzzy Logic and Technology (EUSFLAT) in Warsaw (Poland) went to (affiliated) KERMIT PhD students:
- Laura De Miguel for her contribution "Convolution on bounded lattices" (L. de Miguel, H. Bustince and B. De Baets);
- Gang Wang for his contribution "Edge detection based on the fusion of multiscale anisotropic edge strength measurements" (G. Wang and B. De Baets).
The three nominees competed in a lively award session, with Laura De Miguel finally drawing the longest straw. This recognition is another highlight in the longstanding cooperation between KERMIT and GIARA.
