On October 18, 2017, Aisling Daly successfully defended her Ph.D. thesis "Putting ecological theories to the test: individual-based simulations of synthetic microbial community dynamics" and was awarded the title of Doctor of Applied Biological Sciences. Aisling was supervised by Bernard De Baets and Jan Baetens.
