On June 1, 2018, Beḳir Çetintav successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis "Statistical inference based on ranked set sampling" at the Dokuz Eylül University in Izmir, Turkey. He was awarded the title of Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics. The work was a result of the ongoing cooperation between KERMIT and the Department of Statistics of the Dokuz Eylül University and was jointly supervised by Selma Gürler and Bernard De Baets.
