On October 31, 2019, Adam Dzedzej defended his Ph.D. thesis "Multi-state two-dimensional number-conserving cellular automata" and was awarded the title of Doctor of Philosophy of the University of Gdańsk. Adam was jointly supervised by Barbara Wolnik and Bernard De Baets. His jury included the international expert Nazim Fatès.
