On September 24th, 2020, Jim Clauwaert successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis "Deep learning techniques for genome processing and annotation tasks in prokaryotes". He received the title of Doctor of Bioscience Engineering: Mathematical Modelling at the Faculty of Bioscience Engineering of Ghent University. Jim was supervised by Willem Waegeman, Gerben Menschaert and Marjan De Mey. Congratulations!
