On March 2, 2021, Liselotte De Ligne successfully defended her Ph.D. thesis "Fungal susceptibility of bio-based building materials” and was awarded the title of Doctor of Bioscience Engineering: Natural Resources at the Faculty of Bioscience Engineering of Ghent University. Due to the ongoing pandemic, the defense took largely place online. Liselotte was supervised by Joris Van Acker (UGent-Woodlab), Jan Van den Bulcke (UGent-Woodlab), Bernard De Baets and Jan Baetens.
