On April 20, 2022, Amna Qayyum successfully defended her Ph.D. thesis "A qualitative representation of moving point configurations with illustrations in micro traffic analysis" and was awarded the degree of Doctor of Sciences: Geomatics and Surveying. Amna was supervised by Nico Van de Weghe of the CartoGIS research unit and Bernard De Baets. The research of Amna was supported by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.
