On September 20, 2022, Jorn Van de Velde successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis "Bias adjustment of climate model outputs for the stochastic generation of meteorological variables and river discharge", and was awarded the title of Doctor of Bioscience Engineering: Natural Resources. Jorn was supervised by Niko Verhoest, Bernard De Baets and Matthias Demuzere. His jury included the experts Stijn Luca, Diego Miralles, Piet Termonia and Patrick Willems.
