On May 5, 2023, Soria Delva successfully defended her Ph.D. thesis "Responding to a warming ocean: a case study of the brown seaweed Dictyota dichotoma" and was awarded the title of Doctor of Science: Biology. Soria was supervised by Olivier De Clerck, Bernard De Baets, Jan Baetens and Kenny Bogaert.
