On October 19, 2023, Dimitri Boeckaerts successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis "Predicting and understanding phage-host interactions with machine learning tools based on phage receptor-binding proteins" and was awarded the title of Doctor of Bioscience Engineering: Biotechnology. Dimitri was supervised by Yves Briers, Bernard De Baets and Michiel Stock. Dimitri is joining the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory as a postdoctoral researcher funded by the Fulbright Program.
