The research of MSc student Sarah Vanbesien on machine learning and pollination networks is featuring the cover of the September 2018 issue of De Vlaamse ScriptieKrant. In her thesis, Sarah applied state-of-the-art machine learning techniques to predict "the right flower for every bee".
The thesis of Sarah was entitled "Machine learning and pollination networks: the right flower for every bee", with Bernard De Baets and Guy Smagghe as supervisors, and Michiel Stock and Niels Piot as tutors.
